Cookie Policy
Last updated June 21, 2026
This Cookie Policy explains how SelfLore uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you control them. It forms part of our Privacy Policy.
1. What cookies are
Cookies are small files stored on your device. Similar technologies (local storage, pixels) work the same way. We group them as essential (needed to run the site and remember your privacy choice) and optional (analytics and advertising, which load only with your consent).
2. Cookies we use
- Essential — always on. A signed session cookie keeps you signed in, a security token protects forms, and a small local-storage value remembers your cookie choice so we don't ask again. These never require consent and are not used for tracking.
- Analytics & advertising — only with your consent. When you choose Allow, we load Google Analytics 4 (to measure how the site is used) and Google advertising tags (to attribute and improve our marketing). These set their own cookies. Until you allow them, nothing is loaded and no analytics or advertising cookie is set.
3. Third parties
The optional cookies above are set by Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads). Their use of data is governed by Google's own policies; you can review and opt out via Google's privacy & terms and Google Ads Settings. Our other providers (Anthropic, Resend, Creem, Hetzner) do not set cookies in your browser through our site — see the Privacy Policy for how they process data.
4. Managing your choice
On your first visit we ask you to Allow or Reject optional cookies, and we remember your choice. You can change it at any time using the "Cookie preferences" link in the site footer (California residents can use "Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information" — note we do not sell your data, and our advertising cookies are off unless you opt in). You can also clear cookies in your browser settings; if you do, we'll ask again on your next visit.
5. Changes and contact
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time; the date above shows the latest version. Questions? Email support@selflore.me.
