Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of SelfLore (the "Service"), available at selflore.me. By using the Service, creating an account, or starting a subscription, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service. In these Terms, "we", "us", and "SelfLore" refer to the operator of the Service; "you" refers to you, the user.

1. What SelfLore is — and is not

SelfLore produces numerology-based readings for self-reflection and entertainment. Numbers are calculated from the birth date and details you provide; the written interpretation is a reflective lens, a prompt to think about yourself, and a point of view.

SelfLore is not fortune-telling and not a prediction of future events, and it is not professional advice. Nothing in a reading is legal, medical, financial, psychological, or other professional advice, and it is not a substitute for consulting a qualified professional. You are solely responsible for any decision you make. The Service is intended for your personal enjoyment and insight, not as a basis for important life, health, or financial choices.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service and to enter into a paid subscription. By using SelfLore you confirm that you meet this requirement.

3. Your account

Some features require an account. You can sign in without a password using a one-time link sent to your email, with Google, or by setting an optional password. You are responsible for keeping access to your email and account secure, and for activity that happens under your account. The information you give us must be accurate and your own.

4. Your reading and how it is paid for

Your full personal reading is unlocked with a single one-time payment. The price shown on the unlock page (currently $9.99) is charged once — it does not renew, there is no subscription attached to it, and there are no hidden or recurring fees. One payment opens your entire reading: every deep-dive theme, your life-seasons map and your year-ahead forecast.

• One-time purchase, non-refundable. Your payment unlocks your full personal reading, which is generated and delivered to you within minutes of purchase. Because you receive that digital product in full shortly after purchase, the payment is non-refundable. See our Refunds & Cancellation Policy for how technical issues and billing errors are handled.
• Promotional pricing. Any "temporary price", "limited offer" or struck-through price shows our regular price next to the current price; it is promotional and may end at any time.
• Legacy credits. Earlier, parts of a reading could be unlocked with credits bought in one-time packs. Credit packs are no longer sold, but any credits already on your account do not expire and remain spendable on individual unlocks. Credit purchases already made — and credits you spend — are non-refundable, because unlocking delivers digital content immediately.
• Subscription (existing members). An active subscription is $9.99 per month, unlocks everything, and includes Your Week Ahead — a fresh personal reading delivered every Sunday and saved to your account. It renews automatically at $9.99 per month until you cancel.
• Immediate access & EU/UK/EEA right of withdrawal. By asking us to begin your reading right after purchase, you expressly ask us to begin the service immediately. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK or EEA, you acknowledge that once your reading has been delivered you lose the 14-day right of withdrawal for that content. This does not affect your statutory rights if a service is faulty or not as described, or your right to cancel future renewals.
• Automatic renewal. Unless you cancel, your subscription renews automatically and the recurring fee is charged to your payment method at the start of each monthly period. We disclose these terms at checkout and send you a confirmation. You can review your renewal date and cancel anytime in your account.
• Cancellation. You can cancel anytime in one click from your account. Cancellation stops future charges; you keep access until the end of the month you have already paid for.
• Payment processing. Payments are handled by Creem, which acts as our merchant of record (the seller on record for the transaction). We do not store your full card details. Prices are shown in US dollars unless stated otherwise; any applicable sales tax, VAT or GST is calculated and collected by Creem.
• Price changes. We may change subscription prices on a going-forward basis. We will give you reasonable notice, and changes will not apply to a period you have already paid for.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service. In particular, you will not:

• copy, resell, scrape, or redistribute readings or other content except for your own personal use;
• attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' data;
• use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms.

6. Intellectual property

The Service, its design, text, and the readings we generate are owned by SelfLore or its licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive licence to access your own readings for your personal, non-commercial use. The numerology calculations themselves are not owned by anyone; the particular wording and presentation of your reading are ours.

7. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", for entertainment and self-reflection. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any reading is accurate, complete, or suitable for a particular purpose. Readings reflect a numerological tradition and a point of view, not verified fact about you or your future.

Some consumer laws give you guarantees that cannot be excluded — including in the EU and UK, under the Australian Consumer Law, and under New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act. Nothing in these Terms limits those rights; this disclaimer applies only to the extent the law allows.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, SelfLore will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for any decision you make based on a reading. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you; nothing here limits rights that cannot be waived under applicable law (for example the Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand's Consumer Guarantees Act).

9. Changes and termination

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms. You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time; we may suspend or end access if you breach these Terms.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Netherlands, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. If you are a consumer, this does not remove the protection of the mandatory consumer-protection rules of the country where you live, which continue to apply. Your purchase is sold to you by Creem as our merchant of record (the seller on record for the transaction), as described in section 4.
